You Don’t Have to Have Luck to Win a Race,
But It Sure Helps!

Although I have
missed a few races of IRL because I have been out of town, I was able to catch
up for this Sunday’s race in Kansas. The Road Runner Turbo 300 had all the
excitement and drama of a great race. Starting at pole position was point’s
leader Scott Dixon, and teammate Dan Wheldon started second. The Target Ganassi
team is on fire this season, having great cars and speed on the track, their experience
and expertise make a dynamite combination…. In third position starting
the race was Danica Patrick, coming off a win in Japan last week; she recently
made history being the first female to win an IRL race. more

Derby Time Already?

It seems like we just finished the Triple Crown and gulped down the Breeders’
Cup, and here we are again. Between now and the post draw on Wednesday,
and even until the gate opens on Saturday, I have a feeling the Derby deck will

The NFL Draft yadayada has ended. I feel like I just went through a
rough weekend of menstrual cramps unabated by Midol. The NFL Draft, bah humbug,
I guess I’m alone in my rants against this ESPN created hype-bowl. ESPN
and Mel Kiper Jr. got the madness going on the boob tube and now it has spread
like a boob-flu to the NFL Network.
So what, if anything, did we learn from
this two day exercise in heightened testosterone levels and male body part evaluation?

It's the weekend of April 26th and my gal pals have
headed north to the Mendocino Coast . They have convinced their significant others,
and themselves, that it's critical that they indulge themselves and work off some
of those extra lbs. Those lbs were strategically gained during the football season.
And so it follows that the approaching warm weather dictates a trip to the fat
farm. Lest we feel a tinge of compassion for them one should remember that the
fat farm involves saunas, hot tubs, massages and lots of good gal pal time.
All my gal pals have left for the fat farm, I, however, am hanging with the guys.
