Female sports fans given bad name
Femmefan.com speaks for female sports fans. Badly.
You could forgive the photos of NFL players showing their abs ('Locker room lookers') if there was some meat on the bones of this Web site, but the content is...
• "Former Boston Celtics great Bill Russell is a very tall man."
• "How to justify a good cry during football season."
• "If Chicks ran the NFL, we would have Chippendale dancers as cheerleaders and halftime entertainment."
X's and O's are used as faux stars in the nameplate, and otherwise avoided.
There is a recipe section, though.

Rebuttal from Ivette Ricco
Gary Derong took the time (and not very much of it) to scold www.Femmefan.com for representing female fans "badly".
His comments are reflective of a male voice with little if no interest in the divergent views of women who happen to be avid sports fans.
We don't want to be ESPN, we don't want to be SI, we want to approach sports from a unique perspective.
We don't apologize for including a little beefcake on the site, after all SI has had no problems promoting their Swimsuit issue, and FoxSports.com is hyping the "Sexiest Man In The NFL" on their site.
Had Mr. Dewrong...oops...Derong bothered to dig deeper he would have seen the over 1000 articles written over the course of the last 5 years by women or for women, articles that are substantive and approach sports from the female fan's perspective.
Mr. Derong, perhaps you should take a closer look at the archive section of the site, without exploring the site fully you have no basis upon which to make your very uninformed comments.
