And they're off! We're getting down to the fine wire and its Wild Card time!
Have you ever figured out this Wild Card thing? Well neither have many of the 'commentators' you see on Fox, CBS, and you name it. They just read what they're given. It's kind of like figuring out Boxing divisions or the now, "BCS", and that's even more mixed up.
My idea of a Wild Card?
Bret Favre played as the King of Hearts sitting on his thrown in the middle of the field luring Tom Brady, the King of Clubs, to a dual. And my seat is on the fifty-yard line where I hold office as the Queen of Diamonds, handing out fine wine with the best cheese, while teaching my posse a few new chants for Bret.
Okay, I'm way out there, but a girl can fantasize can't she?
I'm just saying, you know.coming from a Women's perspective and all.
On to my Picks for Week #15
Steelers VS Jaguars
Steelers, schmeelers! They are way too inconsistent for me. They might even give away a chance at a division title. This will be a big game, as some see this as either the Jaguars or the Steelers that need to get by the Colts.
The Jaguars have won four of their last five games. With a very close defeat against the Colts.
I still think the Jaguars could be that great, unexpected story, making it to the Super Bowl.
If the Steelers play like they did against the Pats-like no defense-the Jags will be meeting the Colts again for a more serious rematch.
I'm picking the Jags
Dallas VS Eagles
Okay, okay, I know how we are all in denial about the Cowboys; not wanting to believe it or if you're a Dallas fan, you just can't believe it!
You can't negate the fact that they are serious and should be taken serious, especially if you're a Packers fan, like I have become. Or should I say a Brett fan.
The Eagles could still be in this and will want to fight nail and tooth on Sunday. When McNabb in on, he's on! They have to win all three of their next games, but that has staying power, right?
Even though two of Philadelphia 's key players, Shawn Andrews, and L.J. Smith left the game with sprained knees on Sunday-ouch! I'm going for a big upset on the 'boys'.
I'm picking the Eagles.
Saints VS Cardinals
The Saints are hoping the Vikings lose, and they win, which would put them closer to a Wild Card berth.
That could happen because the Cardinals pretty much lost all hopes of a Wild Card spot, not playing very well last week.
Kurt Warner is still cute, but ya'll know cute doesn't cut it.
I'm picking the Saints.
Packers VS Rams
This should be a no-brainer for the Pack, but with injuries, I'm nervous again. Their back up Quarterback will probably be out as well, with hamstring boo-boos. But they pulled it off last week and kept the hope alive!
The Rams started to recover this year, but need revamping. Torry Holt is a great receiver, but the Quarterback story is another, story.
I'm now saving my 97' Chateauneuf du Pape for a Packers Conference title.
In the meantime, I'll have more cheese please!
I'm picking the Packers.
I love this game!
