You know those people who are afraid to say I told you so and rub it in when they are right?
Well I'm not one of those people as my wife can surely attest.
In the case of Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals, I can confidently say that I've won this round.

I wrote an article a few weeks back explaining that the Cardinals were making a huge mistake not letting then starting quarterback Matt Leinart take all the snaps during the game and instead playing quarterback yo-yo with him and Kurt Warner.
The reasoning was that Arizona needed to know exactly what they had in Leinart heading into next season. If he wasn't going to be the answer then they needed to know that so they could make a move in the off-season and maybe acquire a veteran quarterback such as Donovan McNabb.
Many people disagreed, saying that Warner gave them the best chance to win now and that was the only thing that mattered.
But then Leinart went down for the season against the Rams and those dissenters got their wish, Warner would be the starting QB.
The only thing is those fans and the Cardinals coaching staff obviously didn't get the memo.
This wasn't the St. Louis Rams' "greatest show on turf" and this wasn't the same Kurt Warner that led those teams.
No, this was the Kurt Warner that was jettisoned by both the Rams and the N.Y. Giants and benched in favor of then rookie Matt Leinart last season by these same Cardinals.
And after Arizona 's most recent loss Sunday against Tampa Bay , those who wanted Warner are reminded of that old saying.
Be careful what you wish for.
The success Warner had when he was flip flopping with Leinart, was merely a byproduct of a no-huddle offense that allowed him to make quick throws and avoid pressure.
The non-hurry up offense he has been asked to run since taking over as QB has exposed his weaknesses and the reasons why other teams gave up on the former 2-time MVP.
Namely his lack of mobility, fumbling problems, interceptions, and a knack for getting injured.
The numbers don't lie.
In the 3 games that Warner split time he impressive, throwing for 580 yards, 4touchdowns, and only 1 INT.
In the 3 games he has started he has been rather pedestrian throwing for 475 yards, 2 TD, and 4 INT. He has also fumbled 3 times, losing 2.
More importantly the Cardinals have not been winning with Warner behind center going 0-3 in games he has started this season and 3-15 overall in games he has started since joining the team in 2005.
You can't run a no-huddle all game long, not even Coach Ken "mad scientist" Whisenhunt is that crazy.
This of course brings us back to the point I made before and I'll make again.
Arizona thought they had a franchise QB when they drafted Matt Leinart with the 10 th overall pick in last year's draft.
But is he?
No one can say for sure.
So far his numbers would say no but you have to remember that this is a QB that has only played in 17 games and has had 3 different offensive coordinators in less than 2 seasons.
Of course splitting time with Warner this season didn't help matters either.
So where does that leave the Cardinals?
The team has been selling itself as a legitimate contender for the past few seasons. They have the weapons on offense, an improved defense, and a coaching staff that has brought a winning attitude to a team notorious for losing.
This is all good and dandy, but the one thing the Cards have been missing is a franchise quarterback to tie it all together.
Warner, clearly, is not it.
There are serious doubts about Leinart as well.
This leave Arizona with some very tough decisions come the off-season.
Do they roll the dice and hope that Leinart will have the breakout season they've been waiting for?
If they're wrong it could be another lost season.
Maybe they trade Leinart in an attempt to get a proven veteran QB?
Nothing would hurt the team more then to see Leinart become a superstar somewhere else.
The decisions they make at QB this off-season will make or break this team for years for come.
If they hadn't gambled a few wins now were worth the risk of more losing seasons later the decision would be an easy one either way.
But if history gives us any indication the Cardinals will once again make the wrong decision and the team will continue to be the laughing stock of the NFL.
But hey, if it's any consolation just remember-
I told you so.
