 The
Boston Tea Party was an act of protest by the American Colonists against Great
Britain and helped spark the American Revolution
I am going to have my
very own Boston Tea Party as an act of protest against the New England Patriots
and Boston Red Sox and spark the Sour Grapes Revolution. Yes I'm a Yankees
fans. I was born and raised in the South Bronx and rode the subway daily past
Yankee Stadium. In spite of frequent Senior Moments I still remember Joe DiMaggio,
and Mickey Mantle.
The Bronx Bombers are part of my youth and part of my
history. The NY football Giants and NY Jets are also part of my youth and history
although I was never as passionate about them as I am about my San Francisco Forth
Niners. But this is the year for all Yankees Fans and all NY Jets fans to
rise up and shout, "Enough". Yes 2007 has become the year for New England/Boston
Haters to band together and hold their No More Boston Teams Tea Party, otherwise
known as the Sour Grapes Revolution.
We now realize that the evil empire
resides up the coast and they wear Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots
uniforms. All we need to complete this trifecta of loathing for all things Bean
Town is for the Boston Celtics to turn their miserable team around. I can't
take it anymore!
 Those
were the days my friend.
The Boston Red Sox used to be the team fans
felt sorry for, not any more!
I recall the days when the Mets were the laughing
stock of NY, but nothing compares with their 2007 late season meltdown. The Yanks
are another story. All that money and all that star power, and all that for nada.
The Curse of the Bambino? Oh how I long for the day that the curse gets resurrected
by some Voodoo woman in Bayou country.
In the meantime, I have ordered a
case of Beano and plan to boycott all things North East of New York City. The
Two Minute Drill
The NFL has two elite and unbeaten teams, the New England
Patriots at 8-0 and the Indianapolis Colts at 7-0. They meet on Sunday in a highly
anticipated game, perhaps a pre-cursor to the AFC Championship.
The defending
Super Bowl Champs, the Colts, meet the most dominant NFL team in recent history,
the Patriots, and a team that is scoring at will. This game will be decided by
turnovers and defense. The coaching is superb for both teams and the quarterbacks
are the best in the NFL.
All eyes will be on this game on Sunday. Holy

The Brett Favre magical mystery tour is still alive and well.
Didn't Shanahan know that the first play in OT would be a bomb? That's typical
Favre. The painful loss left the Broncos struggling to recover the season.
