Brian Stace , one of country music's fastest rising stars, has had a busy year and it's time to catch up with the "Blue Eyed Bad Boy" and meet the rest of the band.
Brian's vocals are enhanced by some of the top talent in music surrounding him. Guitarist Mark Agnesi is one of the most versatile and talented acts around. He got his first guitar at the age of six and set out to learn all he could about it. He took one year of lessons and taught himself after that. He wrote and recorded his first album by the age of twelve with an independent record label. He has shared the stage with the likes of Steppenwolf, Bad Company, Blue Oyster Cult, Shooter Jennings and many others.
Bassist Jessica Fagre comes from a family of musicians. She started out playing the stand up bass in the fifth grade and joined the jazz and rock bands in high school and fell in love with the electric bass. Shortly after high school, she toured across the country in musicals. She started a career in emergency medicine with ambulances and as a 911 dispatcher. Her love of music was strong and she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music.
Fiddle player Jennifer Spingola has been trained in classical music on both violin and piano. She tours with Dee Snider of Twister Sister fame on his Van Helsing's Curse production. She has shared the stage with legendary guitarist Steve Vai and former American Idols Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson.
Drummer Jeff Jarrett, like any other child, started banging on his parent's pots and pans at home. His cousin, famous rocker Lenny Kravitz , played the drums for him and he immediately became hooked. Jeff's parents went out and bought him his first drum set and he learned from Joe Porcaro . Jeff has worked with many bands and acts over the last few years.
Brian has had a busy last few months. It started out in April when he joined the Country Thunder tour and made a stop in Florence , Arizona . He was with acts like Kenny Chesney , Larry the Cable Guy, Reba McEntire , Dierks Bentley, and Trace Adkins. Along the way, he has gained more fans with his stage presence and songs.
The end of June took Brian and his band back to Afghanistan for three weeks to play for the troops that are working and fighting hard to preserve our freedom in the states. His performance in Kandahar was written about in the July 9 issue of Stars and Stripes magazine. Despite there being no publicity about his performance on the base, they drew about 200 troops. A Marine Private First Class was able to perform on stage through a mutual contact in Nashville and played the fiddle with the band.
A week and a half later he came back to his home state of Wisconsin on the Country Thunder tour. He had many family members and friends make the hour and a half trek from Madison to see him perform. During his performance, he displayed an American flag that he had the troops sign for him during his show on July 4. He asked that we support the troops as much as possible during this time. He invited people to meet him up at his tour bus after his show. He greeted new and existing fans, signed autographs and allowed photo opportunities for everyone.
He has had a few performances in California at venues he has played in the past and had some of his newest songs used for a Country Stepping television program he took part in this last month.
He is competing in the Colgate Country Showdown. The competition consists of some of country music's top up and coming acts dueling it out in different venues. Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney are a couple of today's hottest acts that have performed on this tour.
Brian and the band are returning for a third time to perform for the troops who are helping us to keep our freedom to bring in the New Year.
