Dave Wiley is a humor writer currently working freelance for a number of dog rescue magazines. He has been published multiple times in the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, most recently in the Dog Lovers’ Soul. He won an honorable mention in the Writer’s Digest 74 th short story competition. He’s tried his hand at numerous sports throughout his lifetime, usually resulting in some sort of injury that requires surgical repair. Thinking sports writing may be a good way to limit sporting injury to fingers rather than more important bodily appendages, Dave has embraced the challenge of writing sports just for the halibut(sorry fishing fans).
